Summit handpiece Express offers expert repairs for all your handpiece types, ensuring your equipment runs smoothly.
Since 2009, Summit Handpiece Express has provided quality repair service to dental practices and in 2023 expanded to the East Coast.
Our goal is to keep your handpieces out of our hands but when the time comes for repairs, you can talk to the owner or operator that worked on your handpiece at any time.
At Summit Handpiece Express, we’re a family-owned and operated business passionate about one thing: keeping your dental handpieces running at peak performance. Since 2009, we’ve proudly served dental professionals across the Rocky Mountain region and nationwide with expert repairs, reliable service, and a personal touch. Now based on the East Coast, we’re expanding that same high-quality service coast to coast.
We’re not just a repair company—we’re your partners in practice efficiency.

We repair all models of electric attachments under the following service levels. Kavo, Adec/W&H, Star, NSK, Bien Air, and Brasseler.
Trust Summit Handpiece Express for comprehensive low-speed handpiece repairs, ensuring optimal performance and longevity for your equipment.
We have upgraded ALL of our highspeed Handpiece Express turbines and rebuilds to ceramic ball bearings, same as your handpiece manufacturer
Summit Handpiece Express repairs all makes and models of electric 1:5, 8:1, and 20:1 attachments in our shop.
We repair most air-driven and electric handpieces—whether it’s a worn-out bearing or a failing turbine. For high-speed handpieces, we carefully remove the old bearings and replace them with brand-new components that meet manufacturer standards. We also replace worn O-rings and other performance-critical parts. If a repair isn’t the best option, we’ll guide you toward a safe and practical replacement.
We stock genuine OEM turbines from top brands, including Star®, Midwest®, KaVo®, Lares®, NSK®, MTI, Champion, and Micro Motors®, ensuring your equipment receives the best.
Save time. Save money. Restore performance.

Todd Giblette, Emergency Dental Care USAI've used Summit Handpiece Express since buying my practice. We tried a place the former owner was using and I would not go back. Rick and the team at Summit are fast, they can get parts for some rather unusual handpieces, great communication and good prices. Shipping is fast as well. Thanks Rick!

This issue is often caused by one of the following: lack of lubrication, worn bearings or turbine, low air pressure, or clogged air/water lines. Make sure the handpiece is properly lubricated, the air pressure is correct (typically 32–38 PSI depending on the brand and model), and the lines are clean. If the problem persists, the turbine may need repair or replacement.
If the bur won't stay in place, the chuck mechanism is worn or damaged. Avoid using the handpiece until it’s fixed to prevent injury or further damage. Send in the handpiece for repair.
You may need to replace your turbine if you notice reduced speed or power, loud or unusual noises, excessive vibration, overheating, or if the bur slips or doesn’t stay secure.
Every handpiece should be lubricated before each sterilization cycle. It is best to expel the oil by running the handpiece for 3-5 seconds before patient use. Always follow the manufacturer's specific guidelines for best performance and longevity.
No. Handpieces should never be immersed in disinfectants or placed in ultrasonic cleaners, as this can cause internal damage. Instead, wipe the exterior with a disinfectant wipe and follow proper cleaning and sterilization protocols recommended by the manufacturer.
Sending us your handpieces is easy as 1, 2, 3. Print off our Postage Paid 2-day Mailing label and work order, tape to any box and hand it to your USPS post carrier.

Rick and his family business are a pleasure to work with. High quality work and top customer service. Rick has even taken extra time to help us make decisions about older equipment and what's really worth repairing vs replacing. He really owns his craft. Highly recommended.
